Looking to relocate to another corner of the great city of Milwaukee? There are a number of 2-bedroom apartments for rent, all of which would make a great new home for you and your family or friends. One of the best neighborhoods for 2-bedroom apartments is Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward, a portion of town that's only a short stroll north of the Milwaukee RiverWalk?, packed with art displays, water taxi landings, cafes, pubs and - of course - the iconic Bronz Fonz statue.
Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward district is just south of downtown. It's a stylish upper-class neighborhood that's packed with condos and spacious loft apartments above antique stores, boutique shops and numerous art galleries. It's also home to the Milwaukee Public Market where you can pick up fresh food to cook in your new kitchen. Feel like eating out? Can't make up your mind where to go? Why not head out on one of the seasonal Milwaukee Food Tours which start in the Historic Third Ward.
With its great shopping and 5-star dining, this neighborhood is one of the most popular in the area. It's especially a favorite with the LGBT crowd, and has great proximity to Milwaukee's main transportation hub, as well as the train station.
But for some folks, the real draw the Historic Third Ward district is going to be its proximity to the city's beloved RiverWalk.
Running right alongside the Milwaukee River itself, the Milwaukee RiverWalk is both a highlight for tourists and a haven for natives. Two miles long, it stretches from around the grounds where the annual Summerfest is held to the Lakefront Brewery in the North End. The RiverWalk is home to many of the best restaurants, coffee shops, bars, boutiques and waterfront nightlife in the city. There are outdoor galleries, stylish signs and plenty of boats to catch the eye, especially in the summer. Plus, the RiverWalk is home to some of the city's biggest events, including River Rhythms and the Milwaukee River Challenge.
The RiverWalk's biggest attraction, however, also happens to be one of the finest and most famous pieces of statuary in the whole state: the Bronz Fonz. As fans know, Milwaukee was the setting for the 1980s TV hit "Happy Days," and the statue depicts Henry Winkler in his famous getup, leather jacket and all.
Between the Historic Third Ward's classy panache and the RiverWalk's constant activity, 2-bedroom apartments for rent in the area are a great place to settle.
