Apartment Guide’s report is based on statistical school quality data compiled by GreatSchools. To locate the most affordable apartments that are within range of a highly-rated school, Apartment Guide cross-referenced that data from GreatSchools with their own database of Dallas rental information.
Using this information, Ridgeview Ranch is revealed as the top neighborhood for quality schools. In fact, the Ridgeview Ranch neighborhood is actually the only neighborhood in Dallas that received a full 10 from GreatSchools – though multiple other neighborhoods have a score of at least nine.
Elementary schools
For elementary schools, Arawak Apartments are perhaps one of the best examples of an affordable apartment near a good elementary school. The average two-bedroom rent at Arawak Apartments is $890 and the neighborhood has an average school rating of nine.
Trailing just behind in terms of affordability is Spring Valley. The neighborhood here boasts an average school rating of nine but rent is a bit higher – an average of $915 per month for a two-bedroom apartment.
Middle schools
The most affordable apartment complexes near highly-rated middle schools are Rustic Oaks Apartments and the Park on Preston.
The Rustic Oaks Apartments have an average rental fee of seven dollars higher per month than the Park on Preston – $977 and $970 per month for a two bedroom respectively. However, the average middle school rating near Rustic Oaks is a full 10 while the average school rating of middle schools near the Park on Preston complex is a nine.
High schools
The previously mentioned Park on Preston apartment complex is a great option for those looking for affordable housing within the range of a highly-rated high school as well as middle school.
Even more affordable is the Spring Valley complex – which also rated as a top apartment near the best elementary schools.
